INNOVA is constantly searching to improve and to develop new solutions in the sector of energy and environment, in order to stablish itself as a technological reference in these sectors.

In this way, INNOVA develops partnership with other companies and the most important Universities in the country for conducting Research, Development and Inovation activities in strategic sectors. Among the most important activities, the following:

  • Installing a facility in the Science and Technological Park of Unicamp, Campinas, in partnership with the Chemistry Enginnering Faculty (FEQ), which will allow the formation of an important and unique research platform in thermal processes in the country and the development of new technologies and industrial applications;
  • Together with the Biological Systems Engineer Laboratory, from the Rio de Janeiro Federal University (UFRJ), INNOVA is conducting research on the synthesis of chemicals and liquid fuels from syngas. This project is beeing carried since 2012 and represents an extremely attractive alternative for second generation fuels. The project received R&D funds from state agencies FAPERJ and CNPq-SETEC/MEC;
  • INNOVA participates, together with Fluminense Federal University (UFF), CIC and CDIOX and funded by FURNAS Centrais Elétricas through ANEEL R&D resources in a project for converting nearly 50 tons of MSW into electricity, where the main equipments were already manufactured.
